Commissioned by Cole Porter for his wife, Linda in 1944, Verdura created the first Stardust Bracelet, setting diamond stars across a cabochon sapphire sky. In 1950, Verdura created a suite consisting of Stardust earclips, a bracelet and a brooch. Actress and model Suzy Parker modeled them for Vogue in 1951 and a month later, the magazine featured them on the cover.
