Fall Events at Verdura

This Fall, we have welcomed old and new friends to join us to celebrate the Broadway Cares Organization and Alex Papachristidis and his new book, The Elegant Life.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the philanthropic heart of Broadway, helping ensure those affected by HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 and other life-threatening illnesses nationwide receive medication, healthy meals, counseling and emergency assistance. Broadway Cares is the major financial supporter of the Entertainment Community Fund and funds 450 AIDS and family service organizations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. Emmy Award winning journalist, Frank Dilella, and film and broadway actor, Michael Urie, led a conversation to give guests a look inside Broadway and the upcoming season.

In November, Ward Landrigan hosted an event celebrating Alex Papachristidis and his new book The Elegant Life at the Verdura Salon overlooking Central Park. The guests enjoyed a lively conversation and Q&A between Alex Papachristidis and his best friend, Harry Slatkin. Alex discussed his inspirations, favorite projects, and pet peeves but it was Alex’s dog, Cooper, that stole the show when he jumped onto Alex’s lap towards the end of the conversation.
