Topkapi Cuff

$43,500.00

The Maltese Cross Cuff launched Verdura’s career in the 1930s. While working for Coco Chanel, Verdura designed the first enameled cuffs for the coutourière using stones from her personal collection. Deriving the heraldic symbol from the Medieval Knights of Malta, Verdura mounted the vibrant, gem-set motif in wide enamel cuffs, creating a bold new style for the 20th century woman.

•  Black jade, amethyst, green tourmaline, diamond and 18k yellow gold

•  Available in a range of sizes

About Fulco Di Verdura

Born into Sicilian aristocracy in 1898, Verdura’s founder, Duke Fulco di Verdura, began his extraordinary career in Paris as a designer for Coco Chanel. After eight years with Chanel where he, most notably, created the Maltese Cross cuffs that became his signature, Verdura followed his passion for design to America in 1934.
