Tendril Flame Earclips

$9,500.00

In 1941, Verdura collaborated with Salvador Dali on a collection of five original pieces, each featuring a miniature painting by Dali and a jeweled mounting by Verdura. The collection, which was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, inspired Verdura to continue exploring surrealist designs.  The Tendril Flame Earclips, inspired by this collaboration, are as flattering and modern today as when they were first designed.

About Fulco Di Verdura

Born into Sicilian aristocracy in 1898, Verdura’s founder, Duke Fulco di Verdura, began his extraordinary career in Paris as a designer for Coco Chanel. After eight years with Chanel where he, most notably, created the Maltese Cross cuffs that became his signature, Verdura followed his passion for design to America in 1934.
