Verdura Featured at The Met’s “Jewelry for America” Exhibition Now through April 2020

Verdura's signature Maltese Cross Cuff in diamonds, emerald, sapphire, pearl, and ivory is on display as part of The Met's "Jewelry for America" exhibition. The iconic cuff designed by the Duke Fulco di Verdura is part of the Met's permanent collection and is a gift of Mrs. Charles Wrightsman.

Spanning 300 years, Jewelry for America will explore the evolution of jewelry in this country, from the early eighteenth century to the present day. Its five chronological sections will reveal changes in styles, materials, and techniques, all woven into a sociohistorical narrative. Some one hundred examples from The Met collection—including recently acquired and rarely exhibited objects—will be displayed. The Verdura Maltese Cross Cuff (1990) will be on display now through April 5, 2020 in the Met's American Wing.
