In 1944, Verdura created the first Double Crescent Bracelet, deriving the familiar interlocking Cs from the cipher of Diana, Roman goddess of the hunt. It was quickly adopted by style-setters like Marjorie Meriweather Post, becoming one of the jeweler's most popular designs throughout the 1940s and 1950s. In 1997, Diana, Princess of Wales, wore the iconic bracelet to the sale of her gowns at Christie's, and it's still one of Verdura's most popular designs today.
