Not a stone, not a setting, not a color match. So the effect is that of gypsies’ tinsels, wild, profligate, unrestrained. No color combination is too fantastic.

Gypsies' Tinsels

Preferring the wider palette range offered by semi-precious stones, Verdura set vibrant hued gems in rich yellow gold, evoking the opulent Byzantine treasures he first discovered with Coco Chanel during their tour of Europe in the early 1930s. Inspired by the richly hued mosaics and gold-encrusted treasures they had visited, Verdura set gems into gold like tiles, mixing precious and semi-precious stones in various colors and cuts.
